In a surprising crossover event that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
