Despite entering their maiden continental adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match provided a chance for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
The Shelbourne side that had concluded their league season were no match against a mostly second-string Palace lineup. The visitors were further weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
